Just about everything is more expensive….here’s how to save money

If it feels like your money isn’t going as far as it used to, you’re not imagining it.

From groceries and insurance to housing, utilities, restaurants and everyday necessities, the cost of simply maintaining your life has gone up. And while higher prices affect everyone, they don’t affect everyone in the same way. For some people, it means cutting back on things they enjoy. For others, it means putting off bigger goals, dipping into savings or feeling like there’s never quite enough left over to save money.

What makes rising prices especially frustrating is that you can be doing many of the “right” things with your money and still feel like you’re falling behind. A budget that worked a year or two ago may not stretch as far today. And when prices keep changing, it can feel like you’re constantly adjusting just to stay in the same place.

But higher prices don’t necessarily mean you have to give up your financial goals or accept that your money will always feel stretched.

In the video below, I talk about what I would do to save money and get ahead – even as prices continue to increase. It’s not about trying to predict what will happen with prices or completely changing the way you live. It’s about looking at your money differently so you’re better prepared when the cost of living inevitably changes.
